Bring Your Royal Hounds to the Faire

Even Dogs Enjoyed The Renaissance!

Separate Dog Ticket Purchase Required

State Licensed Tag Required

Thy Tame Hounds are welcome at Faire!

As you frolic among the other visitors and town folk at the town of Crossford, you may walk with your friendly and well-behaved canine.

As long as your canines are pleasant pets who are good in crowds and also the occasional loud noises, their presence makes our town more jolly.

Here are a few details about your pets’ visit to our faire town. Our town elders make some simple, yet important requests if you so choose to bring the family canine.

  • All canine patrons must be registered and a Dog Ticket purchased prior to bringing them to the Shire. Please print and fill out our Dog Form. Don’t have a printer? Not to worry – waivers are also available at the entry gate.
  • NOTE: All dogs must have state-issued licensed ID tags on their dog collar and waiver must be signed for admission.
  • As some hounds may not be used to big crowds, we ask our guests to consider the temperament of your furry loved ones before deciding to bring them to the Renaissance Faire.
  • We ask our pet owners to ensure your furry family members are well harnessed on a leash.
  • We shall provide watering stations so your pet can be well hydrated throughout their visit. While our vendors will provide feasts delicious for man or beast, if your pet has special treats or a special diet, please be sure to carry their supply.
  • Service dogs are welcome at the Shire of Crossford. We ask that they don special attire that mark them as a service animal, so this way other visitors know to be respectful of your dog’s important duties in looking out for your health.
  • If during your visit you happen to see a canine is designated a service animal, please heed the wishes of their owner and do not pet the dog without permission.
  • In fact, it is always a good rule for anyone who wishes to place adoration on visiting canines to ask their owner to do so first.
  • Your pet should be of good health and up on its required vaccine from nasty disease, such as rabies and alike.
  • With visitors in the hundreds and even thousands who descend upon our town, not all are animal lovers. Some are even afraid of hounds, no matter how friendly and cute they may be. Please be kind to those who feel this way and keep your pets close.
